Checking out of a hotel does not automatically complete the arrangements for a vehicle awaiting a tow. Separate your room departure from the vehicle pickup so the hotel and dispatch understand who remains responsible for access.
Speak with the hotel about the vehicle
Explain that a pickup is being arranged and ask which parking and access conditions apply after checkout. Confirm the appropriate contact for the driver. Avoid assuming that a room reservation permits the car to remain for an unlimited period.
Arrange your own onward travel
Ask dispatch about the vehicle transport arrangement, and organize passenger travel separately unless another arrangement is expressly confirmed. Keep your essentials accessible before leaving the hotel. Do not assume the towing vehicle can carry your party or store everyone's luggage.
Maintain a reachable contact
Give the hotel and dispatch a working callback number and clarify who has the keys. If you will leave before pickup, confirm the release arrangement with both parties first. Ask how you will receive an update so checking out does not leave the driver unable to locate an authorized contact.
